Removal (4.3L)

Turn ignition off. Disconnect breather tube at air cleaner outlet duct. Disconnect Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor harness connector. See Figure. Remove air cleaner outlet duct retaining wingnut. Loosen air cleaner outlet duct-to-MAF sensor clamp. Remove air cleaner outlet duct. Disconnect IAC valve harness connector. IAC valve is located on side of throttle body unit. Remove IAC valve mounting screws. See Fig 1. Remove IAC valve and "O" ring from throttle body assembly. See Fig 2.
