Using FREEZE FRAME/FAILURE RECORDS may help to locate an intermittent condition. If you cannot duplicate DTC, use information in FREEZE FRAME/FAILURE RECORDS to help to determine how many miles have occurred since DTC set. Use fail counter and pass counter to determine how many ignition cycles have occurred since diagnostic reported a pass or a fail. To isolate when DTC failed, operate vehicle within same freeze frame conditions that you observed. These conditions include RPM, vehicle load, vehicle speed and temperature.
