Code Enable Criteria

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2001 GMC Savana, 2001 Chevrolet RV Cutaway, 2001 Chevrolet Cutaway, and 2001 Chevrolet Chevy Express. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: If start-up Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) is less than 20°F (7°C), misfire detection is delayed until ECT is more than 70°F (21°C). If start-up ECT is more than 20°F (7°C), misfire detection begins after a 5 second delay.

DTC sets when PCM detects a deceleration in crankshaft speed that is characteristic of either an emission type misfire or of a catalyst-damaging type misfire.
