Diagnostic Aids
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Chevrolet Corvette. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The following conditions may cause this DTC to set:
- Camshaft reluctor wheel damage.
- The sensor coming in contact with the reluctor wheel.
- Foreign material passing between the sensor and reluctor wheel.
- Excessive camshaft end-play.
- Wiring routed too close to secondary ignition components.
If you find any damage to the reluctor wheel or to the camshaft, repair as necessary. See appropriate article in ENGINES.
If the condition is intermittent, see INTERMITTENT CONDITIONS under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
