Throttle Position Sensor: Removal

  1. Turn OFF the ignition. Remove the air cleaner intake duct. See AIR CLEANER INTAKE DUCT  under AIR INDUCTION SYSTEMS. Disconnect the EVAP purge line. Release fuel system pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE .
  2. Disconnect the fuel lines. See FUEL LINE DISCONNECT FITTINGS  under FUEL SYSTEMS. Disconnect the Throttle Position (TP) sensor electrical connector. See Figure. Remove the 2 TP sensor screws. Remove the TP sensor and "O" ring.
