Throttle Position Sensor: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Montana, 2003 Oldsmobile Silhouette, and 2003 Chevrolet Venture. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the NEW TP sensor "O" ring on the TP sensor. Install the TP sensor on the throttle body assembly. Install the 2 TP sensor screws, using Loctite(R) 262 Thread-Locking Compound (1052624), or equivalent on the screws. Tighten the TP sensor attaching screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Connect the TP sensor electrical connector. Connect the EVAP purge line. Connect the fuel lines. Install the air cleaner intake duct. Reconnect the IAT sensor connector.
  3. Connect the negative battery cable. Perform the following procedure in order to inspect for leaks. Turn ON the ignition for 2 seconds. Turn OFF the ignition for 10 seconds. Turn ON the ignition. Inspect for fuel leaks.
