Secondary Air Injection Pump: Removal

  1. The Secondary Air Injection (AIR) pump is located underneath left front of vehicle. See Figure. Turn the ignition off. Raise and support the vehicle. Remove the left front wheel assembly.
  2. On Montana, remove the left fender wheel opening molding. See Figure. On Silhouette, remove the left fender splash shield. See Figure. On all models, remove the left front fender liner bolts. Remove the left front fender liner. See Figure.
  3. Loosen the pinch clamp on the AIR exhaust pipe hose. Disconnect the AIR exhaust hose from the AIR pump. Disconnect the AIR pump electrical connector. Remove the nuts securing the AIR pump bracket to the frame. Remove the AIR pump and the bracket as an assembly.
