Secondary Air Injection Pump: Installation

  1. Secure the AIR pump and the bracket to the frame mount with the nuts. Tighten the AIR pump bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Connect the AIR pump electrical connector. Lightly lubricate the inner edge of the AIR exhaust hose.
  2. Attach the AIR exhaust hose to the AIR pump outlet port. Place the pinch clamp around the outlet port and/or exhaust hose connection. Align the front fender liner to the inside of the fender. Position the front fender liner forward of the tabs on the engine splash shield.
  3. Starting at the rear bottom and working forward, install the bolts through the holes in the front fender liner. Tighten the bolts to specification. Install the bolts through the holes in the front fender liner to the front bumper fascia. Tighten the bolts to specification.
  4. On Montana, install the fender wheel opening molding. On all models, tighten molding screws to specification. On Silhouette, install the fender splash shield. Tighten splash shield bolts to specification. Install the left wheel assembly. Install the wheel nuts. Tighten the nuts in a criss/cross pattern to specification. Lower the vehicle.
