Secondary Air Injection Pump Outlet Pipe/Hose: Removal

  1. Turn OFF the ignition. Raise and support the vehicle. Remove the left front wheel assembly. On Montana, remove the left front fender wheel opening molding. See Figure. On Silhouette, remove the left front fender splash shield. See Figure.
  2. On all models, remove the left front fender liner bolts. See Figure. Remove the left front fender liner from the inner fender and the front bumper fascia. Loosen the pinch clamp on the Secondary Air Injection (AIR) exhaust pipe hose.
  3. Disconnect the AIR exhaust hose from the AIR pump. Lower the vehicle. Remove the air cleaner intake duct. See AIR CLEANER INTAKE DUCT  under AIR INDUCTION SYSTEMS.
  4. Remove the air cleaner assembly. SeeAIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY  under AIR INDUCTION SYSTEMS. Loosen the pump outlet hose to crossover pipe pinch clamp. Remove the pump outlet hose.
