Secondary Air Injection Pump Outlet Pipe/Hose: Installation

  1. Install the pump outlet hose to the crossover pipe. Place a pinch clamp around the outlet hose to the crossover pipe connection. Install the air cleaner assembly. SeeAIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY  under AIR INDUCTION SYSTEMS.
  2. Install the air cleaner intake duct. See AIR CLEANER INTAKE DUCT  under AIR INDUCTION SYSTEMS. Raise and support the vehicle. Lightly lubricate the inner edge of the AIR exhaust hose.
  3. Attach the AIR exhaust hose to the AIR pump outlet port. Place the pinch clamp around the outlet port/exhaust hose connection. Align the front fender liner to the inside of the fender. Position the front fender liner forward of the tabs on the engine splash shield.
  4. Starting at the rear bottom and working forward, install the bolts through the holes in the front fender liner. Tighten the bolts to specification. Install the bolts through the holes in the front fender liner to the front bumper fascia. Tighten the bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  5. On Montana, install the fender wheel opening molding. Tighten molding screws to specification. On Silhouette, install the fender splash shield. On all models, tighten splash shield bolts to specification. Install the left wheel assembly. Install the wheel nuts. Tighten the nuts in a criss/cross pattern to specification. Lower the vehicle.
