Timing Belt Rear Cover: Installation

  1. Install the rear timing belt cover. Coat the threaded pin with Permatex Threadlocker Blue (21485277) or LOCTITE (242) thread locking compound or equivalent. Install the threaded pin. Tighten rear timing cover threaded pin to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Install rear timing belt cover bolts. Tighten the rear timing belt cover bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Install the timing belt tensioner bracket and bolts. Tighten the timing belt tensioner bracket bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Install camshaft gears and timing belt. See TIMING BELT & GEARS .
