Removal & Installation

Remove the Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor electrical connector. See Fig 1 . Remove the CMP sensor retaining bolt. Remove the CMP sensor. Inspect the CMP sensor "O" ring for wear or damage. If a problem is found, replace the "O"ring. To install, reverse removal procedure. Lubricate the CMP sensor "O" ring with engine oil. Tighten CMP sensor bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
