Removal & Installation: Evaporator: Removal

  1. Remove the HVAC module assembly. See HVAC MODULE ASSEMBLY .
  2. Remove all of the outer HVAC module assembly seals. See Figure. Remove the recirculation housing from the HVAC module assembly. Release the retaining clip to the defroster actuator from the HVAC module assembly. See ACTUATORS . Remove the defroster actuator.
  3. Remove the HVAC module assembly case upper screws. Separate the HVAC module assembly case. Remove the HVAC module assembly seal from the lower module case. Remove the evaporator core. See Figure. Remove the evaporator core filter screen from the evaporator. See Figure.
