Clutch Assembly: Installation

- Install clutch disc and pressure plate with reference mark on pressure plate aligned as close to mark on flywheel as possible. Install Clutch Disc Aligner (J-43482) through clutch disc until clutch disc aligner bottoms out in crankshaft. See Fig 1 .
- Tighten pressure plate bolts in a crisscross pattern to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Remove clutch disc aligner. Lightly lubricate the input shaft splines with Clutch Spline Lubricant (21005995). Install transaxle assembly. See TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY . Bleed the clutch hydraulic system. See BLEEDING . To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Check transaxle fluid level.
