Shift Cable: Removal

  1. Remove the throttle body air inlet duct.
  2. Use a flat-blade tool in order to remove the retaining clip from the shift cable at shift cable bracket. See Fig 1 .
  3. Use a large flat-blade tool in order to remove the shift cable from the manual valve lever. See Figure .
  4. Use pliers in order to depress the cable retainers.
  5. Remove the shift cable from the shift cable bracket.
  6. Remove the knee bolster.
  7. Remove the retaining clip from the shift cable at steering column.
  8. Remove the shift cable from the column control lever. See Fig 2 .
  9. Remove the shift cable from the steering column bracket. See Fig 3 .
  10. Remove the shift cable through the hole in the cowl. See Fig 4 .
