Diagnostic Procedures

  1. Perform diagnostic system check - engine controls. See DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK - ENGINE CONTROLS  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. After performing diagnostic system check - engine controls, go to next step.
    2. NOTE: This DTC indicates the following 2 faults: TP sensor No. 1 fault and TP sensor No. 2 fault. Follow DTC P1120 and P1220 to find both faults, if necessary.
  2. Are DTCs P1120 and P1220 set? If yes, go to see DTC P1120: THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR NO. 1 CIRCUIT  and DTC P1220: THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR NO. 2 CIRCUIT  .
