Removal Procedure

  1. Pull the door weatherstrip away to expose the windshield pillar garnish moldings. Pull on garnish molding to disengage 2 clips. Remove the windshield pillar garnish moldings.

    Important:  Remove the upper trim panel slowly. The retainer clips could possibly fall into the instrument panel (I/P).

  2. Lift the I/P upper trim panel up approximately 51 mm (2 in). Pull rearward to release the I/P upper trim panel retainers.

  4. Rotate the ambient light sensor counterclockwise to release the sensor from the I/P upper trim panel.
  5. If equipped, rotate the sun load sensor counterclockwise to release the sensor from the I/P upper trim panel.
  6. Remove the I/P upper trim panel.
