Fuel System

  1. Check the fuel pressure regulator hose for the presence of fuel. Replace the fuel pressure regulator if fuel is found in the hose.
  2. Test the fuel injectors. Go to FUEL INJECTOR BALANCE TEST WITH SPECIAL TOOL , FUEL INJECTOR BALANCE TEST WITH TECH 2 , or FUEL INJECTOR COIL TEST under FUEL SYSTEMS (GASOLINE) in SYSTEM & COMPONENT TESTING - 2.2L ALERO, CAVALIER, GRAND AM & SUNFIRE article.
