Removal (2.2L)

NOTE:
Numbers in parenthesis correspond to numbered components in referenced illustrations.
- Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Remove air cleaner outlet resonator, air cleaner intake duct and vent hose from throttle body.
- Release fuel system pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE .
- Disconnect the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve harness connector.
- Disconnect the Throttle Position (TP) sensor harness connector.
- Disconnect the vacuum hoses at the throttle body.
- Disconnect the cruise control cable (2) from the throttle body (3) and the accelerator bracket (1). See Fig 1 .
- Disconnect the cruise control cable (2) from the throttle body (3) and the accelerator bracket (1). See Fig 2 .
- Remove the 2 accelerator bracket nuts (3). See Fig 3 .
- Remove the accelerator bracket (2) from the throttle body (1). See Fig 3 .
- Remove the throttle body attaching bolts and studs (1). See Fig 4 .
- Remove the throttle body (4) from the intake manifold.
