Vehicle Speed Sensor: Installation

  1. Apply Transjel(R) Transmission Assembly Lubricant (J 36850), or equivalent, to VSS "O" ring.
  2. Install the VSS into the transaxle case. Install VSS retaining bolt. Tighten bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Connect the VSS harness connector (1). See Figure or Figure .
  4. Connect the negative battery cable.
