Crankshaft Position Sensor: Removal

  1. Raise and support vehicle.
  2. Remove the 2 bolts (3) that secure the stone shield (1). See Fig 1 .
  3. Remove the 4 retainers (2) and the stone shield (1).
  4. Disconnect CKP sensor harness connector. See Fig 2 .
  5. Remove CKP sensor hold-down bolt (2). See Fig 2 .
  6. Remove CKP sensor (1) from the front cover of the engine block.
