Idle Air Control Valve: Removal

  1. Disconnect Idle Air Control (IAC) valve (1) harness connector (2). See Fig 1 .
  2. Drain the cooling system into approved container.
  3. Disconnect 2 coolant hoses (2) to IAC valve. See Fig 2 .
  4. Remove 3 IAC valve (3) retaining bolts. See Fig 2 .
  5. Remove IAC valve (4) from throttle body (1).
  6. Remove any remaining IAC valve gasket (4).
