Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid Valve: Installation

  1. Install a NEW "O" ring (2) and CMP actuator solenoid valve (1) to the cylinder head. See Figure .
  2. Install CMP actuator solenoid valve mounting bolt. Tighten bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Connect CMP actuator solenoid valve (2) harness connector (1). See Figure .
  4. Connect PCV breather hose (4) to PCV breather pipe (3).
  5. Install PCV breather pipe (3), with a NEW gasket (2), to the cylinder head. See Figure .
  6. Secure PCV breather pipe to the cylinder head with the 2 nuts (1). Tighten nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . See Figure .
  7. Secure lower portion of PCV breather pipe (3) to intake manifold using bolt (5). Tighten bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . See Figure .
  8. Install generator support brace to intake manifold and secure with 2 bolts. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  9. Install engine cover (1). See Figure .
  10. Install engine cover (1) bolts. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . See Figure .
