Hydraulic Brake Pressure Balance Control System
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix and 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Regulates brake fluid pressure delivered to hydraulic brake wheel circuits, in order to control the distribution of braking force.
Pressure balance control is achieved through Dynamic Rear Proportioning (DRP), which is a function of the ABS modulator. See ABS DESCRIPTION & OPERATION in appropriate ANTI-LOCK BRAKE article for specific information on the operation of DRP.
