Removal & Installation

  1. Set parking brake. Disconnect battery negative cable.
  2. Pull on instrument panel cluster trim plate in order to disengage retainers. Remove instrument panel cluster trim plate from instrument panel. Pull in the following sequence in order to disengage the retainers, left corner, right corner then at top.
  3. Disconnect electrical connectors from switches in instrument panel cluster trim plate. Move shift lever to first gear position.
  4. Rotate instrument panel cluster trim plate counterclockwise. Lift trim plate over steering column. Disconnect headlight switch and rear heater control switch, if equipped, from instrument panel cluster trim plate by releasing outboard tabs.
  5. Remove instrument panel cluster trim plate filler from instrument panel cluster trim plate. See Fig 1 .
  6. Tilt the steering column fully down, if equipped.
  7. Remove the screws (2) which retain instrument cluster to instrument panel carrier. See Fig 2 .
