Removal & Installation

Release fuel system pressure before beginning procedure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Disconnect negative battery cable. Clamp off high pressure regulator coolant lines with pinch pliers. Remove hose clamps and hoses from regulator. Remove fuel inlet line. Remove fuel outlet line. Remove brake control module shield. Loosen, but do not remove, lower bracket mounting bolt. Remove high pressure regulator through-frame mounting nut and bolt. Remove high pressure regulator and bracket from vehicle. To install, reverse removal procedure. During installation, always use new "O" ring seals and lubricate with petroleum jelly.
