5.0L, 5.7L & 6.5L

CAUTION: DO NOT remove radiator cap when radiator is warm. Removing cap immediately lowers boiling point of coolant and could cause a violent overflow, resulting in large coolant loss and personal injury.

Place a large funnel in radiator fill neck or surge tank. Pour a 50/50 mixture of DEX-COOL® coolant and drinking water into radiator. Remove cap from surge tank if not done already. Remove slotted bleed screw from top of thermostat housing. Pour coolant into surge tank and watch for coolant flowing from bleed screw. When a constant flow of coolant is reached, close bleed screw at top of thermostat housing. Continue to fill surge tank to proper level and install cap. Start engine. As engine warms, coolant level may drop. Add coolant as necessary. Check for leaks.
