Circuit Description

Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) contains a momentary switch that controls trip odometer reset and trip season display options. IPC monitors circuit voltage levels and detects when trip odometer reset switch has been depressed.

DTC B2823 will set as current when IPC senses trip reset switch input is low (grounded) for more than 60 seconds. An intermittent failure will be stored as a history DTC. When DTC B2823 is set, IPC will disable (ignore) trip reset switch.

A current DTC B2823 will clear after a complete ignition cycle if condition for setting DTC is no longer present. DTC will also clear when scan tool is used to clear DTCs.
