DTC B0931: Compass Sensor Circuit Malfunction: Testing

  1. If DIC diagnostic system check has not been performed, perform DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. If DIC diagnostic system check has been performed, go to next step.
  2. Check for poor connections at DIC harness connector and related components, and test for high resistance or an open in wiring between DIC and related components. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If no problem is found, go to next step. If problem is found, repair as necessary. After repair, go to step  4 .
  3. Replace DIC. See DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repair, go to next step.
  4. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Operate vehicle under CODE ENABLE CRITERIA  conditions. If DTC resets, go to step  2 . If DTC does not reset, system is okay.
