Description & Operation: Indicators/Messages: Charge

Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) illuminates charge indicator in message center when the following occurs: Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detects generator output less than 11 volts or more than 16 volts and IPC receives a class 2 message from PCM requesting illumination, IPC performs displays test at start of each ignition cycle or ignition switch is in ON position, with engine off.
