Driver Information Center: Compass/Temperature

This mode displays an 8-point compass heading on left side of DIC. Compass will display current vehicle direction relative to one of 8 compass headings. For compass calibration and compass magnetic variation adjustment See COMPASS CALIBRATION  under PROGRAMMING.

Ambient temperature displays on right side of DIC. Temperature display is updated every 2 seconds and will not change from its initial temperature until vehicle has been driven at 15 mph. If ambient temperature is less than 37°F (2.8°C), temperature reading will toggle between displaying outside temperature and "ICE" for 2 minutes. If temperature is less than -40°F (-32.6°C) for more than 2 seconds, "OC" will display. If temperature is above 140°F (60.0°C) for more than 2 seconds, "SC" will be displayed. If "OC" or "SC" is displayed, Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) will be set.
