DTC B1770, B1775, B1780 Or B1785: ADJUSTER MOTOR SUPPLY CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION: Description
Seat adjuster motors are controlled by Memory Seat Module (MSM) through adjuster motor supply circuits. MSM also monitors current flow through adjuster motor supply circuits. In an active state, adjuster motor supply circuits are switched to power and ground within MSM. Direction of adjuster motor rotation is determined by which supply circuits is switched to battery voltage and which is grounded.
When DTC sets, MSM will disable the seat adjuster motor for which a current status DTC is set. When fault no longer exists, a history status DTC will be stored, and adjuster motor operation will be restored. DTC will be current for as long as fault exists. When fault no longer exists, DTC will be a history status code. A history DTC will be cleared after 100 error free ignition cycles, or by using scan tool clearing DTCs feature.
