Power Seats
The power seat system consists of these following components:
- Driver's seat adjuster switch.
- Passenger's seat adjuster switch.
- Driver's seat adjuster motor assembly.
- Passenger's seat adjuster motor assembly.
- PWR/HEATED SEAT PSD (30-amp) circuit breaker.
Seat adjuster motors are controlled by seat adjuster switches. Battery voltage and ground is supplied to switch assemblies. All switches are closed to ground when in an inactive state. When an adjuster switch is pressed, one adjuster motor supply circuit is supplied battery voltage, and ground is provided through supply circuit to the inactive switch. Adjuster motors are reversible and direction of adjuster motor rotation is determined by which supply circuits are closed to battery voltage and which remains grounded. A 6-way power seat is available on driver's seat and passenger's seat. System consists of 3 reversible motors attached to a seat drive rail. Each motor contains a self-resetting circuit breaker. Power seat switch is located on left side of driver's seat, or on right side of passenger's seat. Drive cables connect motor to gearnuts, which turn jack screws and adjusters at each side of seat.
