Memory Seats
Memory seat system consists of the following components:
- Seat adjuster switch.
- Memory seat module.
- Driver's seat adjuster motor assembly.
- Driver's seat recliner motor.
- PWR/HEATED SEAT PSD (30-amp) circuit breaker.
Seat adjuster switch is supplied with a 12-volt reference circuit by MSM. When a seat adjuster switch is pressed, signal circuit is closed to 12-volt reference. Closing switch signal circuit to reference voltage pulls signal circuit high indicating to MSM the switch status is active. MSM also uses serial data circuit for diagnostic purposes and to send and receive messages which affect memory seat system operation.
Seat adjuster motors are equipped with position sensors. Position sensors are supplied with a 5-volt reference circuit and low reference circuit from MSM. Whenever a MSM function is active, MSM receives a signal from each position sensor which varies from 0-5 volts depending on seat position. MSM uses position sensor signal voltages to determine seat position when storing or recalling seat position settings.
