DTCS C1261, C1262, C1263, C1264, C1267 & C1268: Solenoid Valve Malfunction: Diagnosis

  1. Perform DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  . Go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition off. Connect scan tool to DLC. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, clear DTCs and run AUTOMATED TEST. If DTC does not reset, go to step  4 . If DTC resets, go to next step.
  3. Replace EBCM. See BRAKE PRESSURE MODULATOR VALVE & ELECTRONIC BRAKE CONTROL MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After replacement, go to next step.
  4. Use scan tool to clear DTCs. Drive vehicle over various road surfaces at speeds greater than 25 MPH for at least 30 seconds. If DTC does not reset, system is okay. If DTC resets, go to step  2 .
