Turn Signal Cancel Cam and Bearing Thrust Washer - Disassemble - Off Vehicle (Floor shift Export)

Tools Required 

J 23653-SIR Lock Plate Compressor

IMPORTANT:

Let the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil hang freely after removal.

1. Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil Disassemble - Off Vehicle (Floor shift Export) .
2. Compress the shaft lock shield assembly (2) using J 23653-SIR .
3. Remove the bearing retainer (1) from the steering shaft assembly.
4. Discard the bearing retainer (1).
5. Remove J 23653-SIR from the steering shaft assembly.

6. Remove the following parts from the steering shaft assembly:
   1. The shaft lock shield assembly (4).
   2. The turn signal cancel cam assembly (3).
   3. The upper bearing spring (2).
   4. The thrust washer (1).
