Preliminary Inspection
- Ensure GAUGE (10-amp) and DOME (15-amp) fuses are okay. GAUGE fuse (10-amp) is located in instrument panel junction box No. 2. See Figure
. DOME fuse (15-amp) is located in fuse and relay box No. 1. See Fig 1
. Ensure multifunction audio alarm module is securely mounted to junction block No. 2. Ensure engine coolant level is adequate for Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) gauge operation. Ensure fuel level is adequate for fuel gauge operation.
- Ensure oil level is adequate for oil pressure indicator operation. Ensure parking brake is fully released and brake master cylinder reservoir is full. Ensure all grounds are clean and tight. Check inoperative bulb(s) for open or shorted filament. Before component replacement, check for poor connections at related component and in-line harness connector terminal connections.
