Parking Brake

Radio activates park brake audible warning as requested by Body Control Module (BCM). BCM sends a class 2 message to radio indicating chime of a fast rate frequency and a continuous duration. Park brake warning sounds and brake indicator illuminates when the following occurs:

• Ignition switch is in RUN position.
• Vehicle speed is greater than 5 km/h (3.1 mph). BCM receives a class 2 message from PCM indicating vehicle speed.
• BCM determines that park brake is engaged and signal circuit is low.
• Vehicle is not in park. BCM receives a class 2 message from PCM indicating gear position
