High Beam

Instrument panel cluster illuminates high beam indicator when Body Control Module (BCM) detects that high beams are requested. BCM divides voltage present on headlight high beam signal circuit by system voltage in order to determine a percentage value. This value is compared against a calibration in order to determine if high beams are on. BCM sends a message to instrument panel cluster via Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) requesting illumination.
