Engine Coolant Temperature

Instrument panel cluster illuminates engine coolant temperature indicator when Body Control Module (BCM) determines that coolant temperature is greater than 123°C (253°F). BCM receives a class 2 message from Powertrain Control Module (PCM) indicating coolant temperature. BCM sends a message to instrument panel cluster via Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) requesting illumination.
