Removal & Installation: Starter: Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Raise and support the vehicle.
  2. Remove the front radiator lower air deflector mounting bolts. Remove the radiator lower air deflector.
  3. Remove the "S" terminal nut from the starter solenoid. See Fig 1 . Remove the "S" terminal wiring harness connector from the starter solenoid.
  4. Remove the BAT terminal nut from the starter solenoid. Remove the BAT terminal wiring harness connector from the starter solenoid.
  5. Remove the torque converter cover bolts. Remove the torque converter covers.
  6. Remove the starter motor bolts. See Fig 2 . Remove the starter motor.
