Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. If the vehicle is equipped with a power drivers seat, remove the following components:
    • The front adjuster finish cover
    • The rear adjuster finish cover
  2. If the vehicle is equipped with the 2-way manual driver and passenger seats, perform the following steps:
    • Unsnap the front adjuster finish covers.
    • Remove the finish cover screws from the rear inner and outer adjuster.
    • Remove the finish covers from the rear inner and outer adjuster.
  3. Position the seat completely forward.

  4. Reposition the integral sleeve on the seat anchor bracket to expose the seat belt nut.
  5. Remove the nut from the bracket.
  6. Remove the head restraint. Refer to Head Restraint Replacement - Front Seat .
  7. Remove the seat adjuster bolts.
  8. Tilt the seat forward and disengage the front hooks from the floor pan.
  9. If equipped, disconnect the seat electrical harness connector.
  10. Remove the seat.
