Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Position the seat in the vehicle.
  2. Tilt the seat forwards and engage the front hooks in the floor pan.
  3. Connect the seat electrical harness connector.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  4. Install the seat adjuster bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 42 N.m (31 lb ft).

  5. Install the seat belt bracket nut.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the nut to 42 N.m (31 lb ft).

  6. Reposition the integral sleeve on the seat anchor bracket to cover the seat belt nut.
  7. Position the seat completely rearward.
  8. If the vehicle is equipped with the 2-way manual driver and passenger seats, perform the following steps:
    • Snap the front adjuster track covers in place.
    • Install the finish covers to the rear inner and outer adjuster.
    • Install the finish cover screws to the rear inner and outer adjuster.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

  9. Install the head restraint. Refer to Head Restraint Replacement - Front Seat .
  10. If the vehicle is equipped with a power driver seat, press into place the following components:
    • The front adjuster finish cover
    • The rear adjuster finish cover
  11. Inspect the seat to ensure proper operation.
