Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement - Front Bucket .
  2. Remove the seat cushion trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Front Seat .
  3. Remove the seat belt buckle. Refer to SEAT BELT BUCKLE REPLACEMENT - LEFT FRONT in Seat Belts.
  4. Open the J-retainers on both sides of the cushion cover.
  5. Slide the cushion cover upwards to expose the hardware that attaches the recliner to the seat back.
  6. Remove the roll pins that secure the recliner to the seat back. Discard the old roll pins.

  7. Remove the pivot bolts that secure the recliner to the seat back frame.
  8. Remove the seat cushion from the seat back.
  9. Unfasten the hook and loop retainers that secure the front seat cushion cover to the cushion pad.
  10. Carefully pull the front seat cushion cover away from the cushion pad.
