Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Carefully pull the front seat cushion cover over the cushion pad.
  2. Fasten the hook and loop retainers that secure the front seat cushion cover to the cushion pad.
  3. Install the seat cushion to the seat back.

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  4. Install the pivot bolts that secure the recliner to the seat back frame.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the pivot bolts to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).

  5. Install new roll pins that secure the recliner to the seat back.
  6. Slide the cushion cover downwards and close the J-retainers on both sides of the seat cushion cover.
  7. Install the seat belt buckle. Refer to SEAT BELT BUCKLE REPLACEMENT - LEFT FRONT in Seat Belts.
  8. Install the seat cushion trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Front Seat .
  9. Install the front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement - Front Bucket .
