Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the cable assembly in the seat back.
  2. Install rivets (2) in the cable assembly anchor.
  3. Connect the latch to the release cable.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  4. Install the latch screws (1).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the screws to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

  5. Install the seat back pad.

  6. Pull down the seat back trim.

  7. Install the trim staples (1).
  8. Install the J-retainer at the bottom of the seat back.
  9. Install the fold-down seat back on the seat frame.
  10. Install the seat back. Refer to Seat Back Replacement - Rear (Non-Folding)  or Seat Back Replacement - Rear (Folding) .
