Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the rear of the vehicle.
  2. Remove the rear tire and wheel assemblies.
  3. Remove the rear compartment trim panel. Refer to COMPARTMENT TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR .
  4. Remove the rear bumper fascia outer support to rear end panel nuts.

  5. Remove the rear bumper fascia outer support to rear wheelhouse bolts.

  6. Use the J 38778  to remove the rear bumper fascia to rear wheelhouse push-in-retainers.
  7. Remove the rear bumper fascia splash shield. Refer to REAR WHEELHOUSE LINER PANEL REPLACEMENT .
  8. Use the J 38778  to remove the rear bumper fascia to rear bumper impact bar push-in-retainers.

  9. Use the J 38778  to remove the rear bumper fascia to rear end panel push-in-retainer.
  10. Remove the rear bumper fascia to rear end panel bolts.

  11. Remove the rear bumper fascia from the body.
