Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the rear bumper fascia to the vehicle.

  2. Install the rear bumper fascia to rear end panel push-in-retainer.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  3. Install the rear bumper fascia to rear end panel bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  4. Install the rear bumper fascia to rear bumper impact bar push-in-retainers.

  5. Install the rear bumper fascia splash shield. Refer to REAR WHEELHOUSE LINER PANEL REPLACEMENT .
  6. Install the rear bumper fascia to rear wheelhouse push-in-retainers.
  7. Install the rear bumper fascia outer support to rear wheelhouse bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

  8. Install the rear bumper fascia outer support to rear end panel nuts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the nuts to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

  9. Install the rear compartment trim panel. Refer to COMPARTMENT TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR .
  10. Install the rear tire and wheel assemblies. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  11. Lower the vehicle.
