Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the high mounted stop lamp bulb from the rear shelf. Refer to HIGH MOUNTED STOP LAMP BULB REPLACEMENT in Lighting Systems.

  2. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to SEAT CUSHION REPLACEMENT - REAR in Seats.
  3. Remove the rear seat back. Refer to SEAT BACK REPLACEMENT - REAR (NON - FOLDING) or SEAT BACK REPLACEMENT - REAR (FOLDING) in Seats.
  4. Remove the rear quarter upper trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Quarter Upper .
  5. Use the J 38778  to remove the rear shelf trim panel to rear shelf push-in retainers.
  6. Remove the rear seat belts from slots in the rear shelf trim panel.
  7. Slide the rear shelf trim panel toward the front of the vehicle to remove.
