Removal Procedure

  1. Raise the rear door window to the full closed position.
  2. Remove the rear door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Rear Door .
  3. Remove the rear door handle water deflector.
  4. Disconnect the rear door rod-to-handle clips securing the rods to the rear door inside handle.
  5. Remove the rods from the rear door inside handle.

  6. Remove the rear door inside handle to rear door rivet.
    1. 6.1. Create a pilot hole by using a center punch. Drive the mounting rivet mandrel for the rear door inside handle into the rivet head.
    2. 6.2. Use a 6.35-mm (1/4-in) drill bit in order to drill out the rivet.
  7. Remove the rear door inside handle from the rear door.
